Allton is a Technology and Service company that specialises in subsurface electromagnetic (EM) for Oil and Gas Exploration and Production, CO2 Measurement Monitoring and Verification (MMV), and Marine Mineral Exploration. As we continue to pioneer new technologies, we now seek a PLC Engineer to contribute their expertise to our groundbreaking projects.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain PLC programmes for our state-of the art EM technology.
- Collaborate closely with our Team to optimise electronic, electrical, and power transmission solutions.
- Utilise your expertise in PLC / PLS engineering, particularly in the context of subsea or ROV development.
- Leverage your experience with Beckhoff products to enhance our technological capabilities.
- Contribute to technology testing (opportunity for offshore trips).
What Does it Take to Succeed?
Qualifications:
- Minimum B.Eng., B.Sc. in Engineering, M. Eng., or M.Sc. in Engineering.
- Background in electronic, electrical, power electronic, or related fields.
- Minimum of 3 – 5 years of working experience in relevant field.
- Proficiency in PLC programming and control systems.
- Experience with high-power systems and power transmission.
- Prior involvement in subsea and/or ROV development projects.
- Familiarity with Beckhoff products is an advantage.
Skills:
- Excellent team player experienced with working in international and multi-discipline teams.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
- Passion to innovate and develop the latest and best technology fit-for-purpose.
- Responsible, reliable, diligent, and able to deliver as promised.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Fluency in English, both written and oral.
